LiAngelo Ball’s stint in the NBA didn’t last very long, as he was quickly released by the Detroit Pistons after signing with the Eastern Conference team.
The middle Ball brother is getting another opportunity to prove himself, though.
According to a report by NBA insider Shams Charania, LiAngelo Ball has reportedly signed a contract to play in the NBA’s G League.
“LiAngelo Ball has signed a contract in the NBA G League to play in the bubble,” he reports
LiAngelo Ball was among three players waived by the Detroit Pistons last month. The Associated Press had more details on the move, which came in mid-December:
The Detroit Pistons waived guard LiAngelo Ball and forwards Louis King and Anthony Lamb.
The Pistons announced the moves Monday. King played on a two-way contract with the Pistons last season. Lamb and Ball were signed earlier this month.
LiAngelo Ball was a three-star recruit coming out of high school. He committed to UCLA to play for the Bruins like his brother, Lonzo. However, he only lasted at UCLA for a couple of months, leaving the program following an incident in China.
The two other Ball brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo, are playing for the Pelicans and the Hornets, respectively.
