Armed suspects opened fire in southeast Florida on Sunday, injuring at least 2 children, according to officials.

The Sun-Sentinel reports that the incident happened Sunday night at around 9:48 p.m in Fort Lauderdale, near Tony’s Market off of Northwest 22nd Road. Over 50 rounds of gunfire flew into the crowd, injuring the victims, ages 16 and 6.

Both children were rushed to an area hospital and are expected to survive. According to 7 News Miami, the children were not the intended targets and were caught in the crossfire.

Locals called the gathering a “block party” which apparently got out of control.
