A 50-year-old Domino’s employee in Arkansas has been charged with first-degree murder after police say he pulled out a handgun during a fight between two co-workers and fatally shot one of them inside the restaurant’s kitchen.
The suspect, Jerry Henderson, is accused of killing 25-year-old Jarvis Bowden during the incident at a Domino’s restaurant in Pine Bluff.
Police Responded to Shooting at Domino’s
According to the Pine Bluff Police Department, officers were dispatched just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday to a Domino’s Pizza located at 2300 South Olive Street in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, about 40 miles south of Little Rock.
When officers arrived, they found Bowden lying on the kitchen floor suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, but Bowden was pronounced dead before he could be transported to a hospital.
Fight Between Employees Escalated
Investigators said witness statements indicated that the incident began as a physical altercation between Bowden and another Domino’s employee inside the restaurant’s kitchen.
Police have not disclosed what sparked the confrontation.
According to investigators, Henderson was not the person involved in the fight with Bowden. However, for reasons that have not yet been explained, he allegedly produced a handgun during the altercation and shot Bowden.
Authorities have not said how many shots were fired or whether any additional employees were injured.
Investigation Continues
Police have not released further details about the events leading up to the shooting.
Investigators also have not said whether customers were inside the restaurant at the time of the incident or whether anyone else witnessed the shooting besides employees.
Officials have not identified the other employee involved in the original fight.
Murder Charge Filed
Following the investigation, Henderson was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Bowden’s death.
He was transported to the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Detention Center, where he remains in custody.
According to jail records, Henderson is being held without bond.

The Pine Bluff Police Department continues to investigate the fatal workplace shooting.
