Pre-Dawn Gunfire Outside El Rey Market Turns South Side Corner Deadly

A shooting outside a neighborhood grocery store on Milwaukee’s South Side turned a quiet early morning into a homicide investigation, leaving one person dead and police searching for answers.

The gunfire happened around 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of 52nd Street and West Oklahoma Avenue, outside the El Rey Family Market, according to authorities.
