Idaho Chiropractor Accused of Dragging Woman from SUV and Slapping Two Children Faces Multiple Criminal Charges

An Idaho chiropractor is facing multiple criminal charges after authorities say he forcibly pulled a woman from an SUV during a family dispute and, in a separate incident weeks later, admitted to slapping two of his children during what he described as a disciplinary confrontation.

Brady Fielding, 39, has been charged with one count of domestic battery without traumatic injury against a household member and two counts of injury to a child, according to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office. The allegations stem from two separate incidents that occurred in April and June 2026 in Idaho Falls.

April Incident Began Over Family Vehicle

According to court documents, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a home in Idaho Falls on April 12.

Investigators say a woman told deputies she and her five children were preparing to leave for a birthday party in a white Chevrolet Suburban when Fielding demanded to use the vehicle instead. He allegedly claimed he needed it to pick up a kitchen table.

The woman refused to hand over the SUV or its keys, prompting an argument.

Authorities allege that Fielding attempted to take her purse, cellphone and vehicle keys. The woman reportedly pushed him away during the confrontation.

Child’s Cellphone Also Allegedly Targeted

Court records state that after the initial confrontation, Fielding walked to the passenger side of the SUV, where one of the children—a young girl—was seated, and allegedly attempted to take her cellphone.

Investigators say he then returned to the driver’s side of the vehicle, managed to obtain the woman’s keys, entered another vehicle and drove away from the residence.

However, the incident did not end there.

Woman Allegedly Pulled Out of SUV

According to deputies, Fielding returned to the home a short time later.

Authorities allege he approached the SUV, grabbed the woman by her upper arm and forcibly pulled her out of the driver’s seat. Court documents indicate that the incident left a dark red mark on her arm.

After removing her from the vehicle, investigators say Fielding climbed into the driver’s seat and began backing up the SUV while the vehicle’s doors remained open.

At the same time, several of the children were reportedly trying to exit the SUV. Eventually, all five children safely got out before Fielding drove away in the vehicle.

Family Describes Pattern of Controlling Behavior

During interviews with deputies, the woman reportedly said this was the first time Fielding had become physically abusive toward her.

However, she alleged that he had previously displayed controlling behavior, particularly involving finances and manipulation.

Investigators also interviewed several of the children, who reportedly provided accounts that largely matched their mother’s version of events.

One child allegedly told deputies that Fielding repeatedly called the woman a “psycho” throughout the confrontation.

Following the investigation, authorities obtained an arrest warrant.

Fielding was arrested on April 27, booked into jail and released later the same day.

Separate June Incident Involved Alleged Child Abuse

Weeks later, authorities say another incident involving Fielding led to additional criminal charges.

On June 20, at approximately 10:40 p.m., officers with the Idaho Falls Police Department responded to reports of a physical disturbance at another residence.

According to court records, officers interviewed Fielding, who allegedly admitted that he slapped two of his children—a 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl.

Defendant Said Children Were Being ‘Disrespectful’

Investigators say Fielding explained he had been attempting to discuss household rules and discipline while the children were staying with him and his girlfriend.

According to court documents, he claimed the discussion escalated because the children continued to be disrespectful.

Fielding allegedly admitted striking both children across the face with an open hand.

Authorities say he told officers he did so “due to their continued disrespect.”

Claimed He Was Trying to Get Their Attention

According to investigators, Fielding insisted he did not hit the children hard enough to leave visible injuries.

Court documents state he told officers that his intention was not to cause pain but rather to get the children’s attention.

However, the children gave investigators a different account.

Children Describe Losing Their Temper

Police reports indicate that both children told officers that Fielding lost his temper during the confrontation before slapping them.

The 14-year-old girl also alleged that Fielding pushed her, causing her to fall onto a bed.

Following the investigation, officers cited and released Fielding before formal charges were later filed.

Multiple Court Hearings Scheduled

Fielding is now facing charges from both investigations.

According to court records:

  • He is charged with domestic battery without traumatic injury against a household member for the April incident.
  • He also faces two counts of injury to a child related to the June allegations.

His upcoming court appearances include:

  • July 22 — Hearing related to the April domestic battery case.
  • August 19 — Hearing related to the child injury charges.

Investigation Continues

Authorities have not announced any additional charges beyond those already filed.

The allegations outlined in court documents remain accusations, and Brady Fielding is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
