Philadelphia police are investigating a violent assault outside a McDonald’s restaurant in the Grays Ferry neighborhood after surveillance video captured two people attacking a man during an early morning confrontation.
The incident happened approximately two weeks ago on the 2900 block of Grays Ferry Avenue, according to authorities.
Surveillance Video Shows Attack
Police said newly released surveillance footage shows two individuals approaching the victim outside the restaurant.
The video allegedly shows the suspects striking the man multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground.
The assault continued until a bystander stepped in and intervened, stopping the attack.
Authorities said the victim was able to get up after the first confrontation, but the situation escalated again when he confronted the suspects.
Suspects Allegedly Attacked Victim Again
Investigators said the victim was assaulted a second time after confronting the two individuals.
Police said the suspects later left the area while taking the victim’s food with them.
The circumstances leading up to the confrontation remain under investigation.
