A man was injured after being ambushed by two armed suspects outside a home in north Minneapolis on Monday night, according to police. The victim was able to escape the gunfire by running back inside the residence before emergency services were contacted. Authorities say his injuries are not considered life-threatening, and the search for the shooters remains ongoing.
Shooting Reported on Oliver Avenue North
The shooting occurred Monday night in the 1200 block of Oliver Avenue North in north Minneapolis.
According to investigators, the victim was outside a residence when two suspects approached and opened fire, striking him during the attack.
Despite being wounded, the man managed to run back inside the home, where someone called 911 to report the shooting.
Victim Hospitalized With Non-Life-Threatening Injuries
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the call and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police said his injuries are not considered life-threatening, and he is expected to recover.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or disclosed how many times he was shot.
