Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon at an intersection in Marion County, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:10 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 14 and G76, prompting a response from multiple emergency agencies.
Crash Happened at Highway 14 and G76
According to the Iowa State Patrol’s preliminary crash report, a 2012 Subaru Legacy driven by 19-year-old Zan A. Pray of New Virginia, Iowa, was traveling eastbound when it entered the intersection and allegedly failed to yield to a northbound 2012 Ford Econoline.
Authorities said the two vehicles collided in the intersection, causing significant damage and leaving both vehicles disabled on the highway.
Vehicles Came to Rest in Opposite Lanes
Following the impact, investigators said the Subaru came to rest in the southbound lanes of Highway 14.
The Ford Econoline overturned during the collision and came to rest in the northbound lane of Highway 14, creating a hazardous scene for responding emergency crews.
Officials have not released information about the extent of the damage to either vehicle.
Two People Suffered Injuries
The Iowa State Patrol confirmed that two people were injured in the crash.
Driver Zan A. Pray was transported by ground ambulance to Knoxville Hospital for treatment of injuries.
A second injured individual, whose identity has not been released by authorities, was taken by ground ambulance to Mercy Hospital. Officials have not disclosed the person’s condition.
Multiple Agencies Responded
Emergency responders from several agencies assisted at the crash scene. Medical personnel treated the injured before transporting them to local hospitals.
Authorities worked to clear the overturned vehicle and investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The Iowa State Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
