$5 Jersey Shore Shuttle Launches from Philadelphia This Weekend with Roundtrip Service to Margate, Wildwood, and Cape May

Philadelphia-area beachgoers will have a new, low-cost way to travel to the Jersey Shore this summer. Beginning this weekend, the Jitney Yellow Line is offering round-trip shuttle service from Philadelphia to popular shore destinations for just $5.

The limited-time transportation program is sponsored by Pacifico and is designed to give adults an affordable alternative to driving, while adding extra entertainment before and after each trip.

$5 Roundtrip Beach Travel Available

The seasonal shuttle service will operate on select weekends, offering transportation to three popular New Jersey shore towns:

  • Margate: July 17–19
  • Wildwood: July 24–26
  • Cape May: July 31–Aug. 2

The promotional fare covers both the trip to the shore and the return ride, making it one of the cheapest transportation options available for weekend beach travelers.

Weekend and Day Trip Options

The Jitney Yellow Line is offering two types of travel:

  • Weekend trips running from Friday through Sunday
  • Saturday day trips for those planning a single-day beach visit

For weekend travelers, buses depart Philadelphia at 7 p.m. on Friday and return from the Jersey Shore at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

The Saturday day-trip buses leave from Pac A Deli, located at 1200 Walnut Street in Center City Philadelphia, and return from the shore at 8 p.m. the same day.

Riders Must Be 21 or Older

Organizers said every shuttle bus has 53 seats, and all passengers must be 21 years of age or older to participate.

Tickets are available for purchase online, and seating is limited for each scheduled trip.

Extra Perks Included with Every Ticket

In addition to transportation, passengers will receive several complimentary items and access to exclusive events sponsored by Pacifico.

Each rider will receive an “Adventure Kit” containing:

  • A branded beach towel
  • A life jacket-shaped beverage koozie
  • Sunscreen

Passengers are also invited to attend themed pre-trip and post-trip parties, where they can socialize with fellow travelers before departing and after returning from the shore.

According to organizers, these gatherings typically last two to three hours.

Pacifico Says the Program Brings “Baja Vibes” to the East Coast

Pacifico, which is sponsoring the promotion, said the shuttle service is intended to make summer beach trips more enjoyable while reducing the stress of driving and parking.

Royce Carvalho, Pacifico’s Senior Brand Marketing Director, said the company wanted to introduce more East Coast consumers to the brand while embracing one of the region’s favorite summer traditions—traveling to the Jersey Shore.

He said the company hopes the shuttle will remove some of the hassle associated with beach travel while creating a fun group experience for riders.

Affordable Alternative to Driving

The new shuttle service offers travelers a convenient option during the busy summer season, when highways, parking lots and shore traffic are often heavily congested.

With transportation, beach-themed merchandise, and organized social events included for just $5 roundtrip, organizers expect the limited-time promotion to attract beachgoers looking for an inexpensive and hassle-free weekend getaway.

Those interested in riding are encouraged to reserve tickets early, as each shuttle has limited seating and operates only on the scheduled summer weekends.
