Authorities are searching for a gunman who opened fire during a pool party in Palmdale on Friday evening, injuring three people, including two juveniles.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), the shooting occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of East Old Harold Road. Deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded after receiving reports of gunfire at a residence where a pool party was taking place.
Gunfire Erupts During Gathering
Investigators said a pool party was underway when a male suspect unexpectedly arrived at the location and began firing into the crowd.
The sudden gunfire sent partygoers scrambling for safety as multiple people attempted to escape the area.
Authorities have not said whether the suspect knew anyone at the gathering or how many shots were fired.
Three Victims Hospitalized
Deputies found three people suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victims include:
- Two juveniles.
- One adult.
All three were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
According to the sheriff’s department, the victims’ injuries were not considered life-threatening, and all are expected to survive.
