Two New Orleans Residents Arrested After Alleged Theft of Snowball Business Trailer in Lafourche Parish

Two New Orleans residents have been arrested in connection with the theft of a trailer belonging to a small snowball business in Lafourche Parish, authorities announced.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre said Ronald Perkins, 48, and Quiana Washington, 48, were taken into custody on Wednesday following an investigation into the theft of a trailer owned by Icy-Licious Snowballs, a local business.

Trailer Stolen from Cut Off Business

According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, the trailer was stolen during the early morning hours of July 13, 2026, from the 14000 block of West Main Street in Cut Off, Louisiana.

After receiving the theft report, detectives launched an investigation to identify those responsible and locate the missing trailer.

Multi-Agency Investigation Identifies Suspects

Investigators said the case was solved with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies, including the:

  • New Orleans Police Department
  • St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office

Through the investigation, detectives identified Perkins and Washington as the two primary suspects in the alleged theft.

Both suspects were located and arrested in New Orleans on Wednesday.

Stolen Trailer Recovered

Authorities also confirmed that officers with the New Orleans Police Department recovered the stolen trailer in New Orleans East.

The trailer has since been recovered as detectives continue investigating the case.

Felony Theft Warrants Issued

Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants charging both suspects with one count of felony theft.

Perkins and Washington were initially booked into the Orleans Parish Prison based on those warrants.

Officials said the pair are awaiting transfer to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex, where they will formally face the felony theft charges.

Bail Set for Both Defendants

According to the sheriff’s office:

  • Ronald Perkins’ bail has been set at $100,000.
  • Quiana Washington’s bail has been set at $50,000.

Both remain in custody pending their transfer and future court proceedings.

Investigation Successfully Recovers Business Property

Authorities said the investigation led to the successful recovery of the stolen trailer belonging to Icy-Licious Snowballs, a local small business in Lafourche Parish.

The sheriff’s office credited the cooperation between multiple law enforcement agencies for helping identify the suspects, recover the property, and make the arrests. The investigation remains ongoing as the criminal case moves through the court system.
